Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne:] or [pa:dUko:nBorn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Hindi films. There have been three Filmfare Awards have been given to her making one of the country's most highly-paid actresses. She is featured in the lists of the nation's most popular personalities; Time named her one of the top 100 influential individuals in the world in 2018 and awarded her with the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone was the daughter to Badminton's champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager she competed in badminton tournaments on a national scale. However, she left this sport for a career as a fashion designer. Then, she was being offered roles in films. Her first acting job was playing Aishwarya, the Kannada protagonist. Padukone performed alongside Shah Rukh Khan a dual character for Om Shanti Om, her debut Bollywood film. It earned her an award from the Filmfare Award as Best Female debut. Padukone's starring role of Love Aaj Kal was well liked, but it was followed shortly by an unfortunate setback.
